On 9 and 10 December 2023, SGM Sarawak organised an event for the youth division members at its culture centre. Drawing from the experience of a young women’ division member, the event explored the significance of having a sense of belonging and mission in SGM. In small groups, the participants then delved into a discussion on the purpose of faith.

On the second day, the participants learnt about the significance of establishing the youth division. SGM young men’s division secretary Siow Yoon Kee later spoke about the significance of the mentor and disciple spirit, encouraging the participants to establish a strong bond with President Ikeda and keep advancing in life. SGM young women’s division leader Lee Kam Yit was also present to encourage the participants. The event concluded with the participants writing their determination to win over challenges and to joyfully share Buddhism with others.
