On 7 July, the closing ceremony for “TRANSFORMAT108N – Ripples 2.0: Yap Hong Ngee Solo Exhibition and The 18th Our World Exhibition” took place at Wisma Kebudayaan SGM (WKSGM), marking the 600th event held at the venue since its opening on 18 November 2001.
Former SGM president Michael Kok expressed his appreciation to artists Yap Hong Ngee and his daughter Jane for their third collaboration with SGM and wished them continued success. He also reaffirmed SGM’s commitment to fostering cultural and peace exchanges.
Family, friends, and working committees reflected on the inspiration they drew from the exhibition. Artists Yap Hong Ngee and Jane expressed their commitment to advancing their artistic pursuits and art education. During the exhibition period, they hosted two talks: on 26 May, where they discussed their collaborative journey, with Jane emphasizing the role of parents in nurturing and supporting their children’s passions; and on 9 June, where, alongside content creator Phei Yong, they explored generational perspectives on creativity. This discussion was moderated by media practitioner and columnist Ceng Zi Yue.
The exhibition, which began on 18 May, attracted approximately 8,800 visitors over its 44-day run.
