From 12–14 July, a training session for the Lotus Sutra Exhibition Committee and the SGM Production Team took place at the SGI Asia Culture and Education Centre, Johor. Over 640 people from across the country attended to deepen their understanding of the exhibition’ significance and their individual responsibilities.
SGM General Director Koh Sia Feai highlighted that the Lotus Sutra, revered as the king of sutras, promotes values of peace, compassion, hope and respect for others. He expressed his hope that the light of the Lotus Sutra would shine brightly throughout Malaysian society and across Asia.
The training session covered the exhibition’s organisational structure and concept, as well as the standard operating procedures and key considerations. Participants, after learning their individual responsibilities, engaged in practical on-site exercises.
The training session also featured a study on The Wisdom of the Lotus Sutra, small group discussions and victory reports. These activities inspired participants to fully commit to their roles and encourage friends and family to visit the exhibition.
