SGM Pahang Branch and The Art House will be jointly organising the MOGENG 5 ~ THE ART HOUSE INK PAINTING EXHIBITION at SGM Pahang Culture Centre from 13th-15th October 2023, showcasing nearly 70 ink paintings by Teacher Lai Tiew Seong and his students.
Teacher Lai and his students’ ink paintings are rich in style, diverse in technique, composed with flexibility, and infused with a natural artistic charm. There are majestic landscapes, delicate and elegant glimpses of towering trees, as well as blades of grass and leaves. The handling of techniques has reached a level of thorough and vivid expression, regardless of whether the scale is grand or small, distant, or close-up.
The main purpose of this exhibition is to provide a platform for the public and enthusiasts of ink painting and calligraphy to connect, learn from each other, and exchange ideas. This exhibition endeavors to present captivating artwork to the public, enriching lives with artistic expression and fostering a deeper appreciation for art’s profound impact. It aims to enhance humanistic qualities through sharing and appreciation of ink paintings, as well as to cultivate awareness and interest in the art.
Appreciating beautiful artworks often brings people inspiration, joy, courage, and hope, leading to a spiritual rejuvenation and motivating individuals to move forward positively, proactively, and constructively.
Admission to the ink painting exhibition is free. We also welcome the public to participate in the ink painting lecture and sharing sessions alongside the exhibition.
