On January 2, Tadika Seri Soka (TSS) held its 24th entrance ceremony over two sessions, welcoming 134 new children to the TSS family.

TSS founder Daisaku Ikeda sent a congratulatory message, urging the children and everyone there to use three magical phrases that “will brighten and refresh your own heart and the heart of everyone else” – “Good morning”, “Thank you” and “I will never be defeated.” He urged the children to learn happily and always walk the path of courage and hope.

TSS principal Lye Loy Hou warmly welcomed the children and expressed her gratitude to the parents of the children who have supported and trusted TSS. She said that TSS staff will take good care of the children, just like the founder wished. Mdm Lye also hoped that the children will fully enjoy learning, playing and growing up in TSS, and put to good use the three magical phrases.

Chairman of TSS Board of Directors Prof Dato’ Dr Christopher Boey attended the second session in the afternoon. In his speech, he used a story to share the power of encouragement. He urged the children to use the three magical phrases, guiding them to say “thank you” to the principal, staff and their parents.

After the ceremony ended, the teachers performed a puppet show titled “Follow the Teacher” to guide the children. The staff worked hard to enliven the atmosphere and make the children feel relaxed and ready to start learning.
