On 16 September 2022, SGM Selangor members took part in the Malaysia Day celebration held at the Ikeda Peace Park, Taman Klang Jaya, Klang. Co-organised by Klang neighbourhood watch (Rukun Tetangga) and resident association of Taman Klang Jaya, this event was officiated by Sentosa assemblyman YB Dr G Gunaraj George.

In his speech, SGM Selangor chairman Steve Chee Hoon Teck urged the participants to celebrate the multiethnic, multicultural diversity of Malaysia on this special day and further strengthen the bond between citizens. After the speeches, a series of games and friendly competitions were held.
