In April 2023, SGM Sabah, Sarawak and Perak held a number of activities aimed at promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
On 12 April, SGM Sabah, Kota Kinabalu City Hall and non-governmental organisation Meraki Daat Sabah jointly held the Seeds of Hope exhibition at Etania School which was viewed by 130 teachers and students. The exhibition carried the message of the interconnectedness of people and nature, encouraging viewers to contribute to a sustainable future.
SGM Sabah also held a workshop on “Turning Food Waste into Fertiliser and Compost” in collaboration with To Earth With Love, an environmental protection organisation at the Sabah Culture Centre on 15 April. The person in charge introduced the SDGs and showed how to make good use of food waste and make environmentally-friendly fertilisers to replace chemical fertilisers.

On 16 April, SGM Perak held a park cleaning activity together with Simpang Pulai village committee members. 70 participated in the activity at Taman Rekreasi Simpang Pulai to reduce the risk of dengue fever, remove bushes, clear rubbish, prune branches and plant flower plants.
In addition, SGM Perak and Sarawak also held resource recycling activities in Bercham and Kuching City Hall on 2 and 9 April respectively.
