On January 30, 2021, SGM Justice Group organised a webinar themed “Don’t Let Bankruptcy and the Pandemic Haunt You” by its group members Tan Leng and Hua Sia Yen. Some 1,450 people participated in this event.

The two speakers discussed the “Temporary Measures For Reducing The Impact of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) Act 2020” and the “Bankruptcy Act 1967” respectively.

Besides explaining how these two acts can protect people who were affected by the pandemic, they also spoke further on bankruptcy-related issues.

Furthermore, Tan Leng encouraged the participants to attempt for a breakthrough as “financial crises are not the end of life”, and they should keep on moving forward filled with hope. They also answered questions from the participants, thus further enabling the participants to equip themselves with more legal knowledge.
