On 31 July 2022, SGM Johor branch was invited to participate in the “Save the Earth” programme to plant mangroves in the Tanjung Piai National Park in Johor. The event was organised by Yayasan Raja Zarith Sofiah in conjunction with the “International Day for the Conservation of the Mangrove Ecosystem”, aiming to expand mangrove area, improve biodiversity and protect mangrove ecosystems.

About 200 volunteers including representatives of the SGM Johor branch and various NGOs, as well as students and youth, worked together to plant 500 mangrove species, such as the red eggplant and red mangrove, and cleaned up the mangrove area to protect the environment.
