After being postponed for half a year, on 10 July 2022, SGM held the Elementary Level and Youth Level 3 Buddhist Study Examinations at 41 venues around the country. Total of 2,045 members participated in the exams.

For this occasion, SGI President Ikeda sent a message to encourage the candidates. He hoped that the candidates “will regard Buddhist study as life’s greatest treasure and continue to study Buddhism and grow into outstanding individuals.”
At the exam venue at SGM Culture Centre in Cheras, SGM General Director Koh Sia Feai praised the candidates for their strong seeking spirit in studying Buddhism and participating in the exam. He said that the purpose of such exams is to spur the practitioners to continue studying the philosophy of Nichiren Buddhism, and for providing the foundation to overcome all obstacles and be victorious in life.

I was not confident about taking the exam at first. But through the encouragement of my leaders and members, I decided to go for it. Studying for the exam enabled me to deepen my understanding of Buddhism and faith.
