On 14 January 2023, together with the University of Malaya’s Department of Chinese Studies and its alumni association, SGM coorganised an art talk at UM Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. It was also broadcasted live through Harmoni Soka Art Facebook page.
Titled “Aesthetic Imagery: Dialogue on CN Liew’s Rocks from Yon Hills Contemporary Ink Art Exhibition at Clare Hall, University of Cambridge”, the speakers included Malaysian artist C.N. Liew, curator Dr Mun-Kit Choy and senior lecturer at the UM’s Department of Chinese Studies Dr Ong Siew Kian. The speakers spoke about the artist’s journey in the art circle including his perspectives of art, philosophy and literature, and his recent exhibition which was held at Clare Hall, University of Cambridge.
