On 4 December 2024, SGI General Council member Dr Akash Ouchi delivered a lecture titled “Buddhism is About Winning” at the SGI Asia Culture and Education Centre, attended by some 600 people.
Drawing from President Ikeda’s writings in The Wisdom for Creating Happiness and Peace series, Dr Ouchi’s lecture discussed the importance of achieving consistent victories in both kosen-rufu and personal life. He encouraged the attendees to share Nichiren Buddhism openly and expand networks of happiness and goodwill.
SGM General Director Koh Sia Feai also encouraged the attendees to strive towards the great goal of shakubuku, describing it as the highest act of compassion.
