As part of the initiative in supporting Sustainable Development Goal 3 regarding good health and well-being, Wyeth Nutrition Sdn Bhd collaborated with Avisena Women’s and Children’s Specialist Hospital (AVISENA) to organise the Avisena Fun Health Day. Held on 25 June 2022, the aim of the event was to spread awareness on sustainable and healthy living among young children and parents in the local community. In conjunction with this, the “Seeds of Hope Exhibition” (SOH) was held.
The SOH jointly launched by Soka Gakkai International (SGI) and the International Earth Charter aims to promote “Education for Sustainable Development”. In Malaysia, this exhibition has been displayed at 246 locations across Malaysia, with an accumulated viewers of nearly 200,000 since 2010. SOH has become a key activity of SGM in contributing to environmental education.
Two AVISENA staff members acted as narrators and the exhibition attracted 100 visitors who left messages such as “No littering”, “No food waste”, “Protect the Environment”, and “Help each other.” The exhibition received positive response.
According to Mr Azuan Mohd Sulaiman, Head of Marketing and Corporate Communication, this exhibition also motivated the hospital to incorporate the sustainable development goals in their future upcoming events.
