On 19 December 2024, the Klang Royal City Council (MBDK) presented a certificate of appreciation to SGM Selangor Culture Centre for its cooperation as a strategic partner in the development of Klang City’s tourism and culture. The certificate was presented by MBDK mayor Dato’ Haji Abd Hamid Hussain to SGM Selangor chairperson Steven Chee.

Additionally, 48 other representatives from tourism agencies, media organisations, the private sector and NGOs also received the certificate.

The presentation took place during the launching ceremony of the Royal Klang City Council Tourism and Culture Programme Calendar 2025 and the Klang City Hop-On Hop-Off Bus at Dewan Hamzah, Klang.

In the past, MBDK (formerly Klang Municipal Council) had also recognised SGM Selangor with the “Prihatin 2011” award for its outstanding contributions to state welfare and the “SDGs Strategic Partner 2023” award.
