As part of SGM’s Month of Peace in September, junior and youth division members of SGM Perak staged a play titled “On the Path to Peace with the Dove” at its culture centre on 21 September.
The script was inspired by President Ikeda’s writings, The New Human Revolution and Towards a World Without Nuclear Weapons.
The narrative follows a young protagonist who, after losing his mother to war, learns about Toda’s Declaration Calling for the Abolition of Nuclear Weapons. This revelation deepens his desire for peace, prompting him to take proactive steps toward achieving it. He comes to understand that peace begins with inner transformation, and that fostering dialogue can cultivate friendship and create a thriving network for peace.
The outstanding performance received enthusiastic applause from an audience of 535 attendees.
