On 29 October 2023, 20 members of the Service Civil International (SCI) Malaysia visited the Ikeda Peace Park in Klang.
After the visit, they also viewed the “Seeds of Hope and Action” and “Everything You Treasure – For a World Free from Nuclear Weapons” exhibitions at the SGM Selangor Culture Centre, opposite the Ikeda Peace Park. They later had a friendly exchange with members of the Hibiscus Choir.
The visit and exchange reinforced the commitment of both parties to continue striving for peace in the community and the well-being of mankind.
SCI is a non-profit organisation who promotes a culture of peace through voluntary work, aiming to foster mutual respect between individuals and eliminate violence from society.
