During his visit on 2 November, Prof Dr Tan expressed his deep resonance for the Soka Gakkai’s peace ideals, which underscores equality among all people. He commended the exhibits for vividly illustrating values such as peace, humility and mutual respect, noting that they inspire visitors to embrace righteousness and contribute to a harmonious society. Prof Dr Tan further highlighted that these values closely align with Confucian teachings, adding, “We need to not only celebrate our peaceful lives but also ensure our happiness is shared with others.”

On 8 November, after exploring the exhibits showcasing President Ikeda’s lifelong dedication to global peace, Mr Han, a researcher on Sun Tzu’s The Art of War remarked, “The Soka Gakkai’s philosophy of peace, respect for life and nuclear abolition aligns closely with the core ideology of The Art of War – resolving conflicts without warfare. Promoting peace holds immense significance in today’s world.”

Their reflections highlighted the universal relevance of the Soka Gakkai’s peace philosophy.
