SGM held the Elementary Level and Youth Level 3 study examinations on 14 and 15 September at 37 venues nationwide, with a total of 710 candidates participating. Buddhist study exams are held to inspire a lifelong commitment to learning and applying Nichiren Daishonin’s teachings. Beyond passing the exam, the true purpose is to help deepen one’s conviction in faith and to put the teachings into practice.
The syllabus covered gosho content from “The Real Aspect of the Gohonzon,” “The Record of the Orally Transmitted Teachings” and “On Attaining Buddhahood in This Lifetime,” as well as content from the books The Basics of Buddhism 2 and A Religion of Human Revolution.
