On 24 September, SGM Perak held a series of activities at its culture centre to promote the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
A health talk was delivered by Dr Lim Shu Jiann who specialises in chiropractic care. He spoke about the common spinal issues and elaborated on their causes, symptoms and preventive measures. Later, a physiotherapist demonstrated some exercises to improve spinal health.

A workshop on mangrove dye was conducted by Tia Yee Ling, who shared information about the mangrove forests and demonstrated the use of mangrove tannin as a natural dye. She also guided the attendees as they tried tie-dyeing.

Other workshops on making flower pots, enzymes, baskets and soap were also conducted to encourage the attendees to reduce the use of chemical products and plastics in their daily lives.
The “Seeds of Hope and Action” (SoHA) exhibition was also displayed.
