The SGM Amala Group, a group consisting of ethnic Indian SGM members, celebrated its 32nd anniversary of establishment on 28 October 2021.

On 21 November, 120 SGM Penang Amala Group members gathered online for the celebration. The meeting included other Amala Group members and Soka friends from Kedah, Perak and Selangor. On 12 December, SGM Greater Kuala Lumpur Amala Group members gathered online to celebrate its 32nd anniversary of establishment with more than 50 participants.

In his congratulatory message, SGM General Director Koh Sia Feai expressed his gratitude to the members for their effort in devoting themselves to the kosen-rufu movement despite the pandemic. He encouraged them to be diligent in carrying out shakubuku based on the unshakeable spirit of our mentor, besides calling upon all members to foster and shakubuku youths towards achieving a Youthful SGM in 2022.

During the Penang meeting, Amala Group members reminisced on the significance and success of its establishment and studied the November discussion meeting Gosho study material. After the experiences from the young men’s and young women’s divisions, zone leader Tan Kean Aun encouraged members to be united and actively engage themselves in dialogues.

Amala Group members in Greater Kuala Lumpur held their meeting successfully despite obstacles amid their preparation. Members studied the December discussion meeting Gosho study material and Mr Ravi Shankar shared his victorious experience in faith which included his son. At the end, Johnson Liaw, zone leader from Greater Kuala Lumpur, urged everyone to strive in achieving happiness for themselves and others and become the light of hope for community and society.
