Dr. Seet Jia Sheng, a 28 year- old medical doctor from Penang volunteered as a frontliner at the onset of the Covid-19 outbreak.
He urges the public not to discriminate against certain groups of people and to have compassion for all. He says, “Many of those infected face psychological strains because people tend to stigmatise them. Understanding their fears, I encourage those under investigation to tell the truth and assure that we will help them.”
At the same time, many hospitals lack PPEs. Collaborating with his engineer friend Louis who specialises in 3D printing, they researched and made modifications to the traditional face shields. Currently, more than 20,000 units have been produced and distributed to hospitals.
Dr. Seet continues to strive his best in protecting and encouraging the people around him, believing that every life is precious.
